Our Story

London · Jaipur · and the thread between

A British-Indian story, told in print.

I'm Madhavi, the founder of Two Paisleys. I started the brand in London to bring the colour, character and craft of hand block printing into objects that belong in everyday life, not behind glass.

Why Two Paisleys

I have always been drawn to the way a print can hold memory: a colour that recalls a place, a motif that feels familiar, or a handmade detail that turns an ordinary object into something personal.

Two Paisleys brings that instinct together with practical design. I develop pieces in London, working from the way we actually travel, organise, gift and unwind. They are then handcrafted in Jaipur, where hand-carved blocks and layered colour give each print its distinctive character.

The result is legacy, made useful: robes, bags, sleeves and small companions designed to bring pleasure to the everyday.

Designed between two cities

London shapes how it works.
Jaipur shapes how it comes to life.

That exchange is central to Two Paisleys. It is not a generic idea of “East meets West”, but a continuing conversation between function and ornament, contemporary routines and a living craft tradition.

What we value

Craft with context

We want customers to understand the hand process behind the print, including the small variations that make it human.

Small-batch character

We choose distinctive designs in considered runs rather than chasing sameness at scale.

Beauty with a job to do

A Two Paisleys piece should delight when it is opened and keep proving useful afterwards.

Warm, thoughtful gifting

We design for the pleasure of choosing well, whether the recipient is someone you love or yourself.
